Family Day Weekend 120 Minute Challenge

Gather your family and make a weekend of it – and, if safe to do so, include others!

Anyone is welcome to participate but only Devon residents or those with a child registered at a Devon school are eligible to be entered to win a prize.

1. Choose four things from the list below to do over the weekend (Friday to Monday) for a minimum of 120 minutes over the four days (as little at 30 minutes per day).

Suggested Activities:

• Outdoor activity (e.g. skating, walking, tobogganing, ice fishing) • Cook or bake something • Play a game (e.g. cards, board, video, virtual) • Connect with someone outside your household (e.g. phone, Zoom, FaceTime, doorstep) • Indoor exercise • Share a hobby or passion with each other or start a new one • Play a guessing game – see what you do and don’t know about each other • Build a vision board – make plans together for the year, or for the next outing • Make an ice balloon or frozen block for the community ice sculpture • Register for the Family Trivia Night • Make a craft together • Do a jigsaw puzzle • Watch a movie • Have a mindful meal together – really talk about the food and focus on each other

2. Send in an email with a photo of you and your family doing at least one of these things together, how many minutes (roughly) you spent on the activities, how many people participated and tell us what your favourite thing was. FCSS@devon.ca by midnight, Monday, Feb 15. 3. Win one of three prizes worth up to $100. Winners will be drawn at random on Wednesday Feb 17.
